Multi-Distributed Control System

North Refineries Company – Baiji, has been our client for over 10 years. Technology Integration has developed, installed, and commissioned numerous projects at North Refinery, Salahuddin Refinery 1 and 2, Lube Oil Refinery among others.

The first system is based on the NI’s legacy FieldPoint system. A 380-point system for monitoring of thermocouples, RTDs, Flow Rate systems. Complete with two HMI/SCADA running in redundant server mode.

The second system is a 900-point system at North Refinery for monitoring of temperature measurements. The system includes two redundant servers, which 2 operator stations for monitoring and alarming. The system also has two redundant servers (historian servers).

In April of 2009, Technology Integration was awarded two contracts for the upgrade of both systems.

The new systems for both locations are moved from serial RS-485 communication to industrial grade Ethernet based system. The HMI/SCADA is upgraded to the new LabVIEW and LabVIEW Datalogging and Supervisory Control systems.

Both systems have server redundancy, power supply redundancy, and communication redundancy. In the past 10 years the systems have basically experienced zero downtime.
