Foundation Fieldbus Control System

This project is the first foundation fieldbus implementation in Jordan. The client was interested in testing the foundation fieldbus implementation on a system where the benefits could be gauged immediately and accurately. 

The refinery suggested the upgrading of a conventional system based on standalone PID controllers. The process in question included a total of 60 PID loops, with six cascaded loops employing mathematical expressions. 

Technology Integration took the challenge and agreed to automate this process since the results of the automation could be easily measured. The system was developed and first loops testing started within 10 days. Total project time, including the generation of all operator screens, was concluded under a month. This is an application that fully utilizes the latest in industrial networks with complete redundancy.
